BESAKIH TOUR
HIGHLIGHT
From the hotel, our first visit should be exploring Tibumana Waterfall. Tibumana is one of the closest waterfalls to Ubud and is an impressive place to visit. Set within what felt like a really beautiful cove, and surrounded by flowers and jungle, Tibumana Waterfall disappoints. Also a great spot for swimming, the water is deep enough, and pool big enough for a decent swim.
Then we will visit Penglipuran Village. The beauty of this village with its surrounding where indicated that this village is very little of modernization influence. Enter any of the houses through their arched gates, and you are welcomed by friendly residents who willingly show you around their compound. Old bricks still stand in their place, traditional kitchens are covered in soot from the billowing wood fire hearths, and the compounds are uniquely laid out, each following old Balinese spatial and architectural set of rules.
Next we will visit Pura Kehan (Kehan Temple). Pura Kehen is a Balinese Hindu temple located in Cempaga, Bangli Regency, Bali. The temple is set on the foot of a wooded hill, about 2 kilometers north of the town center. Established at least in the 13th-century, Pura Kehen was the royal temple of the Bangli Kingdom. And our final destination before we head back to your hotel is to visiting Besakih Mother Temple.
Besakih Temple, known as Bali’s ‘Mother Temple’ for over 1,000 years, sits 1,000 meters high on the southwestern slopes of Mount Agung. Besakih is an artistic and unique complex that comprises at least 86 temples which include the main Pura Penataran Agung (the Great Temple of State) and 18 others.
